[Chugalug] [CHUGALUG] Looking for Desktop Hardware

I am looking to buy/build my kids a desktop Linux box that they can use for school (Looking into an online school), email, and... games. Likely some fairly heavy games (thinking Kerbal Space Program for example) and perhaps one or two for me :)

Yes it is the year of moving my kids to desktop Linux! (Previously mostly just Android.)

Anyone have a gaming rig they want to get rid of? Any serviceable LCDs?

Who are folks buying from these days? Been a while, but is NewEgg still the best?

My pain specialist's office in Washington state uses Linux on their office desktops. Ubuntu might not float my boat, but if it works for them, it can't be all that bad. :)
